Thrifty Thursday!

I'm a bit under the weather today, having come down with a stomach bug yesterday. This morning, I felt a little better, so I jumped in the shower and was raring to go. Then I started feeling whoozy again and my sweet friend Stacy reminded me that at my age, it takes a little bit longer to recover. Thanks for keepin' it real Stace! Ha!

So with lots of time to blog, I decided to join Leigh from Tales From Bloggeritaville for Thrifty Thursday and show you some of my yardsale finds from this past weekend. It still feels/looks like Antarctica here so this was the one and only indoor yardsale. SOOOO glad I went. Lookie what I scored.

A sweet topiary with miniature white lights - that work! It was a buck people! Say again? ONE DOLLAR!

This is something that I've been looking for for quite some time. Isn't she pretty? And only $1.50. She sits on a small table in my sitting room next to my new Craig's List slipper chair.

And here is the slipper chair with a throw from the same yardsale. The throw was also $1.
I washed it, of course, and you wouldn't believe the fuzzies that came out of my dryer! I couldn't believe it. Should've taken a picture of that!

This sweet sconce now hangs on a wall in my bathroom. She was also $1. I still need to get candles for her.

I swear, everything this woman was selling was so cheap. I couldn't believe it! I also picked up brand new Yankee Candles for $1! Picture frames - $1. Unbelievable!

Now this lampshade I didn't get at the yardsale, it came from Goodwill for $2. It needed a little cleaning, but who doesn't love Toile? Had to have it! The picture kind of skews the lamp, but the shade fits it nicely. Also on my table in the sitting room.

I also want to remind you to enter my Blogaversary Giveaway. Go here for all of the details on a chance to win a beautiful treat from Kristen's Creations. I've decided to extend the giveaway one week. So you have until next Friday, February 26th. Good luck!

Hi Kim, sorry you aren't feeling well. You got some terrific deals. She could have asked more than a dollar for those items. You hit the jackpot on that sale...Kim

Hi Kim, You find the best stuff so darn cheap! I was showing my mom the secretary and yellow china cabinet you got for $25 and $50 I believe...She couldn't believe it! I've got to get to some thrift stores. We have some here that are really neat that I haven't been to in a while. You never know what you are going to find. In the spring I am going to try to get up early enough to hit some yard sales! Have a great day, Kristen

You really did good! I can believe the fuzzies from the throw. I bought a cotton blanket from Target a few years ago and it leaves fuzz on everything it touches. When I washed and dried it, I could not believe the lint it produced. I saw your comment on Laurie's blog - believe me, you would not want to be like me right now. My house is a mess and I have not been very creative these days. :-)
