IMPORTANT!! Please Read!

For the past 2 days I have been unable to access my blog, as has anyone who has tried to, being redirected to another site. Thank goodness hubby is a pc expert! It took several hours, but he was finally able to track the source - THE SNOWFALL EFFECT! It seems that the site that provides this widget has been hacked. Please be aware of this and if you have this widget on your blog, remove it immediately!

It's good to hear you were able to find the problem and get things back in order!

I have been noticing for about 2 months now that every single blog that had the snow widget took FOREVER to load. I have just been avoiding them. Hopefully, these people will remove it. I never thought about it affecting peoples computers, tho. I will post something on MY blog about this, too. Thank you smart hubby for finding this.
hugs, bj

I'm glad that you have a handy hubby who was able to figure out your problem. I noticed another blog doing the same thing recently. Wonder if she has the snowfall effect, too?

Kim, I am so glad that your husband could fix it for you and you are back in business!

Hi Kim! Oh, my goodness! I'm so glad you hubby knew what to do! I've noticed on some of the blogs with the snow - they move rather slowly! Glad you're back in Blogland!
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I knew something was wrong...I was directed to that other site too. Hopefully, with spring right around the corner people will be removing the snow anyway. Now that makes me wonder about all widgets. Are they all vulnerable?

I came here, from BJ's blog. Thank you for alerting bloggers to this.

I have disliked the Snowfall Effect and found it to make blogs load slower, the same as BJ said. I dislike all those widgets which "make things move."

I'm following Aunt Amelia who followed BJ. Wahhh! I loved my snowfall effect and want it back, but not at the risk of harming my computer or anyone else's. Thanks for getting the word out. I removed mine the minute that I was warned...by Aunt Amelia warned by BJ. Hope that you have no residual difficulties.
