South Jersey Shore-licious!!!!

Think you know New Jersey?  Well get all of that RealHouseWifeJerseyShoreLiciousness out of your head for a moment, cause this Jersey Girl is about to show you the true essence of New Jersey.  South Jersey to be exact.

We've been called the Armpit State.

I think not.

I'm here to tell you.

That's all a bunch of poop!

Seagull poop!

I love my state.

I can get in my car anytime and be in Philadelphia in 15 minutes.

New York City?  Fuhgettaboutit!  2 hours.

Washington D.C.?  3 hours.

And the Jersey Shore in 30 short minutes.  (25 if you drive like me)

I spent the day here with my BFF Denise.

Isn't she purrrrrdy???    That's a chocolate-covered saltwater taffy in her hand.  If you want that, you have to go "Down the Shore" to get it.

Call us what you want.

But this chick is proud of her heritage.

I think our state ROCKS!

In every way.

We are the Garden State.

Not the "Gaudy State".

No Snookie or J Wow here.

THIS is The Situation:

Even our public restrooms are gorgeous!

Casinos.

Sweet corn.

Gorgeous beaches.

A rockin' boardwalk.

Yeah.  I'm stayin.

I can't stand all of that Housewives of NJ stuff!!! Too bad THAT is what so many people think about when they think of NJ! My great aunt and uncle used to live there and I remember visiting as a child and loving it. Thanks for showing everyone the wonderful things about your state!

I've never been to New Jersey but from your pictures it looks pretty cool. Some people have the misconception that Chicago is a wild and dangerous place...maybe I should do a post like this! ;-D

Ok well from what you showed I like it a lot!! think it would be a place I would be welcome to moving to if I didnt HATE snow and the cold!! (thats why I stay in CA).

Sucks that Jersey has gotten such a bad rep lately. It looks pretty, spunky, interesting, and fun:)

Hi Kim, I am starting to know a little of NJ, I have family in Little Egg Harbor and my daughter is living in Lumberton and also here in the Berkshires, she travels between both homes. I haven't been to see her new home yet, but I will be soon. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures of your beautiful state!

Hi Kim, I agree, We go to Ocean City too! We like pizza and Mia's and the breeze. We live in South Jersey too, but our ride is about one hour. It looks like it is not too crazy yet and crowded. I enjoy looking at all your new finds and decor. Thanks for sharing your decorating with us!~Take care~Emelia

That was fun. I might have to do a post on my hometown. You should kick it off! Invite other bloggers to do it and pass it on to each other.

You SHOULD be proud! It's all beautiful and looks like such a great place. I live in SW Missouri, so everyone thinks we're hillbillies! stereotypes can be a bummer! Your beach looks fabulous and you are close to everything. Thanks for all the great photos and scenery!
