Heaven, I'm in Heaven!

Finally!  A day to myself!  Yee-haw!  Don't ya just love days like this?  Nothing to do, no appointments, no cleaning, no laundry, no cooking, no referreeing.  Just pure unbridled relaxation.  It's a little Mother's Day present I'm givin' to myself cause I deserve it!!

So, with coffee in hand and Sinatra in the background, Come Fly With Me to a little place I like to call, Yardsale Heaven.  I was there last Saturday, and the gods were smilin' down on me in a big way peeps!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  Always, always, always hit the church sales first.  Get there early.  A half hour early at the very least.  Trust me, they will let you in.  Church's never turn people away!

See this lamp.  I did a bee-line straight for it.  I'm a sucker for anything with crystals.  And just look em all!  This lamp is a lot bigger than it appears in the picture and it's just drippin with crystally goodness!

Best part....

Oh yeahhhhhhhh!

Dunno where it's gonna go, if anywhere.  I may just keep the crystals and use them on some of the chandy's I have layin' around.

I got a thing for trays too.  And who doesn't love roosters?  Again, no place to put this, but has that ever stopped me before?  It was also $1.

Picked up a few other things at this church, then it was on to the yardsales.  Our first stop was a sweet little house in Pitman, a town just overflowing with oodles of down home country charm.
This house was by a lake with a white picket fence covered with Wysteria.  There were vintage treasures everywhere.

Check out these adorable vintage cocktail picks for fifty cents.

Also scored some old games.

Can't you just picture these in a jar on top of a stack of books?

Loved the box too.

And aren't these dominoes sweet?

Again, loved the box!

These games were only $1 a piece.

This little ole' thang was just $1.  Not even sure what it is.  Probably an herb.  Any thoughts??

That's a real terra cotta planter too!

And lastly at this home, I got this gorgeous vintage frame for fifty cents!  I couldn't believe it!

Isn't it just precious!

At another house I picked up a pair of black floor registers to replace the brass ones I had in my Family Room.

I got both for $5!  Whoo Hoo!  I wasn't even looking to replace them until I spotted these.  They go much better in the room.

So those are just a few of the goodies I got last weekend.  Oh, and on the way home, I spotted these in a neighbor's trash!

Oh me oh my!

Now WHO would throw away such a beautiful chair?  And in perfect condition no less?  AND it's weatherproof!

I'll be lookin for a new cushion at my next yardsale outing!

But I think she looks FINE on my patio, don't you?

And how bout that little table in my kitchen?  Whatdya think?  Not sure?  Me neither.

But I'll keep her there for now.

Now, come and party with me at these great linkies!

Wow, you are on a roll! What incredible finds. I couldn't believe some of the prices. No wonder you're in heaven!

Kim, you find the neatest things and at such low prices. Wow! I love that rooster tray. It is a lot like the one I have, but I paid more for mine of course at a store. That plant looks like a palm to me. They do well inside. Just don't over water it like I do. I cannot believe the things you found in the trash. Some people are so wasteful and you rescued them.

I'm speechless!! I want every single piece you found!! How do you do it? I am going out this minute to get the newspaper with all the garage sales in it for tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed!!

You really hit the jackpot..love the crystal lamp! It's a good thing we weren't garage saleing together or we would have been fighting over the same things. Your little plant is a palm...take it from a Florida girl to know.

Yes, I LOVE those days with nothing on the schedule but ME {at least until the bus rolls up}! You did gather QUITE the LOOT! I can also see a lot of ways that you could use the game boards, boxes and pieces--frame 'em, pile 'em in glass canisters, use a board as a picture mat, etc. The chandy lamp is perfection. xx P&H
PS: I sent you an e-mail but it bounced back to me. I will try again, but just in case, THANK YOU for your kind and caring words on my recent post about Sasha. It really meant a lot to all of us.

I just can't believe your luck! And what I really can't believe is how people will throw away perfectly good things! It must be too much trouble to donate to GW??

I am jealous! love the lamp for $1.00. You find great things!

Kathy @ Creative Home Expressions said...

Wow! You did so good; I am so jealous! : ) Even the neighbor's trash was a great find. I hope you enjoyed your day today. I had a similar day today {on vacation from the day job this week} and it felt a little weird not running out to somewhere! I am enjoying myself and the only thing I have to think about is what we are having for dinner!

You find the best stuff!!!! I never find stuff like that. You would be so proud of me... I picked my neighbor's trash for the first time ever last weekend. My hubby was mortified and I actually had to drive back after taking him home as he would have no part of it. They are these cute lanterns, but VERY rusty. What do I do with them, Goddess of Used Goods?!? You know I am saying that with complete and totally sincerity and jealousy! I think you are amazing with the things you find! So guide me, Yoda!! Rust... do I wire brush it off?

I need to go "yardsale" shopping with you. :) Can't get any better than free on the table and chair. I I have seen the plants before, but can't remember the name - pretty sure it is not an herb.

Wow do you have an eye or what? I would never have seen the potential in these things.

Wow I don’t even know where to start you found so many wonderful things!!!! I seriously dropped my jaw when I saw your lamp for a $1.00, WHAT, that’s crazy!!! I’ve never been to a church yard sale but looks like I need to find one. I’m hitting up a local charity yard sale today. Maybe I’ll have some luck. Okay back to your finds. The games are fab and the free chair is even better! The plant looks like bamboo to me.

Happy Friday to ya!

You are too funny! I giggled through the entire post. And you really SCORED!!!! You sound just like me though when you bought stuff & had no idea where you would put it but you couldn't resist the bargain. Glad to hear that I am not alone. But I already knew that from blogging. Enjoy your stuff. I am so jealous of the crystal lamp.
