Red, White & No Blue!

Today I'm joining two fun parties, White Wednesday at Faded Charm and Rednesday at It's A Very Cherry World to show off two of my favorite decorating colors!

Let's start with white, shall we?

In my mostly white kitchen which I posted about last week

I have lots of canisters filled to the brim with white!  I like to have these ingredients handy when cooking.

The one above holds my Splenda.

Flour and sugar on top of my fridge.

Mini marshmallows for making Summer S'mores!

Self explanatory.

And this pic will help segue to the red part of the post! hehe!

A splash of red at the bottom of the stairs leading into the basement.   Remember that sweet little table from Craig's List?

Also in the basement on my bombe chest is this sweet monogrammed frame from the lovely Kristen over at Kristen's Creations.  I got this beauty from her Etsy store and I just love the colors in it.  She made it custom for me!

My Mother's Day present from Amy!  Don't you love that red against the Granny Smith Apple color on the walls?

How bout here?

That's my Craig's List microfiber sofa!  I told you I'm a Craig's List addict!!

I'll close up this post back in the kitchen with my red rug.

Please be sure to check out these parties for more red and white fun!

xoxo,
Kim

I have two decorating sides, myself: The WHITE SIDE that desires calm, peace and soothing and the COLORFUL side that demands fun and inspiration! Great that you are able to beautifully incorporate BOTH in your home! xx P&H

I can't believe the amazing things you got from Craig's List! I love that red sofa, and it looks like it's really comfy. I think my favorite thing though is that jar full of marshmallows! I've never seen anyone put them in one of those jars, and I think it's the best idea!
Happy REDnesday!

Hey Kim!
I'm so glad you stopped over today, thank you for the compliments on my yellow room...I haven't been out and about blogging much with all of my painting going on but I have thought of you :)

Your kitchen is so pretty, I love a kitchen with white cabinetry and I always say... that if I get another home one day, I'm having the kitchen cabinets white. They make everything look so clean and fresh. :)
Love those yard sale finds in the post below, girl you better keep those tole pieces! That wooden plate is awesome! Love the craigslist furniture items too!
Hope you have a great week...and happy treasure hunting to you...the weekend will be here again before we know it...I can hardly wait! :) Talk to you again soon!
Big Hugs,
Queenie

I use the same clear glass canisters (like on your frig) for my sugar & flour ~ not only beautiful but also utilitarian! I made my first CL purchase yesterday ~ I was so proud of myself...I'm quickly becoming an addict!!

Girl!
If we lived next door to each other, we could so trade furnishings now and then for new looks!
I love red and white and green also!
What a pretty home you have!!
That red sofa is da bomb!! YUM!
I, too, use canisters all over the kitchen- well, the whole house :)
Your home is very cozy and filled with love, I can tell.
Blessings to you today as you make your home!
