Craig's List Weekly Series #5

Wow!  It sure has been a busy couple of weeks here at the Bliss House.  So busy if fact, that I never got to my Craig's List post last week.  That means I've got twice the amount of goodies to show you this week.  I try to only show those pieces that I think are a bargain relative to the the age and quality of the item.  But a pricey piece or two will show up from time to time just for fun.

In all the "busy"ness I refrained from making any CL purchases for myself in two weeks, which is probably a record for me.  I was tempted, however, like I really wanted to bring home this antique dutch wagon for $20, but someone beat me to the punch.

Also fell in love with this antique pedestal side table listed for only $20.

If it weren't for the fact that there is a moratorium against bringing home any more accent tables in my house, it would've been mine.

Look at the detail.

The same woman was selling this antique slant front desk for only $30.

Give me a "Holla" for not giving in people!

This gorgeous Danish teak wall unit in mint condition was only $100.

Also for grabs for $100 was this sweet vintage white wicker desk.

A little pricey, but I love the look of it.

Going for a little higher is this curved glass mahogany china cabinet built in Philadelphia for $115.

What gorgeous detail!  A steal.

How about this 1930's Art Deco curio with matching mirror for $150?

I drooled over this Reproduction Regency Demi-Lune Chest for $350.

Also coveted this phonograph.  But it's a little out of my price range at $2400.

What a conversation piece!

How about some accents to go with these amazing pieces?

Like this little vintage fan for $10.

Or some antique bowling pins for $50?

Love those!

Retro red leatherette suitcases for $25.

Such a great color.  Wouldn't they make a statement!

And who could resist a bottle of embalming fluid?  For $75 you could take home a half gallon of National Casket Company's Embalming Fluid.

You know you want one.

Hope you enjoyed this series.  If I get enough positive feedback on the embalming fluid I'll include more funeral home supplies next week.  The same guy is selling lots of other gory goodies!

Kim I love it when you do CL day here...Now that Phonograph is a drool big time...Love the "morning Glory" horn on it and it looks to be wood so that's what makes it so expensive...how ever Antiques has gone down in value right now so they are asking way too much for that piece...most of my friends are dealers and I have been collecting since 1980 and my dealers friends are trying to give there stuff away right now to stay in buisness...Thank you so much girl for coming by and seeing me I have really missed you my friend...as you were one of my first followers I guess I'm getting boring ha ha!! Need to snap out of it...Hugs and smiles to you Kim...Gl♥ria

Ooh good stuff! I really love that wicker vanity but I'm with you, a little pricey, but sweet.

So many wonderful choices. Thanks for showing us the many selections and good things that can be found on Craig's List.

I have seen some wierd stuff on craigslist but embalming fluid has to be the strangest ever! I actually love CL and have bought quite a few items off it. I think I'll pass on embalming fluid though!

Wow, there are some great deals around your area...$115 is an unbelievable price for that beautiful china cabinet. Someone is going to get the deal of the week when they take that home. Thanks for this fun meme, Kim!

Great deals! It's fun to see what you find each week. I should start looking around here. I needed to get rid of a lawnmower and it was gone 20 min. after listing it. Craigslist is a good thing!

No, I'll pass on the embalming fluid, but I love that old desk for $30.
