Heavy Heart

My heart is breaking today as we got the most devastating news in church this morning. Our beloved pastor has announced that he is being transferred this Summer to a new church. I know that this it the Lord's will and that everything is being done according to His master plan, but it is still so hard to deal with. Not 5 minutes before I heard this news this morning, we pulled into the parking lot and I turned to my husband and said, "Don't you just love this church so much? I'm so happy here." He agreed. Then we went inside. Please pray for us and our church that this will be a smooth transition for the church, our pastor, and the new pastor. Thank you.

Yes - it is difficult -- especially if you're losing a pastor that you are particularly fond of. Good luck with your transition period -- our pastor left in May and we do have a wonderful interim minister.

Oh, I do understand; been there! But as God has provided, He will also again provide what you need as a church for your growth and for HIS Glory!
take care, my friend!

I've been right where you are, Darling, and it hurts a bit, dosen't it? But on the other hand - how marvelous to have loved a pastor so much! We've been through some times when we couldn't wait for our pastor to leave soon enough! LOL Just a little comic relief for you.
Yes, you'll be in my prayers!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Kim, Just keep the faith darling!!!! Of course God knows what he is doing. Some people are in our life for a season & a reason. Love the fact that you are playing with your new camera. I have one too & figure that even on AUTO my photos are better (with no classes yet) than my old ones were. Have a great week! Charlene

I left the church I had gone to for ten years because I didn't care for the changes the new minister made. I stuck it out for over a year and finally decided to move on. Now we sometimes go to Lakewood and really enjoy it, but it's a 40 minute ride so we alternate between Lakewood and a church nearby. I'm still looking. I hope it all works out for you.

O, dear one, the exact same thing happened to us a few years back. It was a wonderful move for him but I am still not really over it...and probably never will quit missing him.

I just posted my SWEET post..:O)

May the Lord bless you with a pastor who is MORE than you've ever expected. Sometimes doors get closed and WINDOWS open...
Changes like this are really hard...you be one of the flock that holds the congregation up to have smiles on for the NEW pastor as he could be anxious about coming in behind your current pastor :)

Pastors, good Pastors, are more than just that, they're also good friends. We always miss friends when they leave us. I will be praying for you and your church. Our churches as a whole need our prayers greatly in these times.

It was good to hear that there is someone else out there who gets as excited as I do about yard sales!! Sometimes I see them on Sunday on the way to church. It's so hard to pass them up. But I do!! lol. Pat @ junkblossoms!
