Went to a yardsale today and spotted this.
Actually, Denise and I were driving right by this yardsale when I spotted it and screamed "Turn around!!!!!".
I knew what it was. Don't think the seller did. It was sold to me for two dollars.
For the record it's not in mint condition. Not even close.
Not sure how, but the bottom is completely broken, and somebody did a lousy job of gluing it back together.
I can't even sell it at my next show.
Not that I would. I'm totally in love with it - imperfections and all.
I'll show you where I put her in my next post. Stay tuned.
Thanks for checking in and have a fabulicious weekend!
xoxo,
Kim

Its pretty and a little black paint and no one would know its broke....what is it... you said you knew...I'm going to guess a umbrella stand. Trish
What a gorgeous find! I was recently commenting on another blog how much I love majolica, but I do not own any. But I love it!
If you love it, that's all that matters. It is beautiful. Great deal!
Cool piece, love to colors! Could you soak it in water/vinegar so that the glued piece came off, then re-glue it so the seams aren't so obvious?
Great find! I would think that even in its current condition it would still be worth quite a lot.
I'm glad you are keeping it though. I love majolica too.

Looking good and a good price to boot!
Your daughter is beautiful and your litle one is getting to be such the big boy! I can't believe how much he has changed.

Wow! I can see this being used as a container for a giant flower arrangement. So glad you found this!
Ok, not going to lie, I don't know what it is, other than some kind of vase??? So I can't wait for you to share with us. I hit the road running at 5 am yesterday morning, and hit the jack pot. There were so many yard sales. I could be a professional yard sale shopper and really enjoy it!
Lovely and who cares if it is broken! It will be lovely with flowers or umbrellas.
Yowzers!!! What a find!!! Is it a new umbrella stand???? I had a yard sale yesterday. I was going to email you last week and get pointers but we didn't do too bad!!! Hope you are having a great weekend!
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and the sweet compliment. I am really looking forward to using my new camera. It's going to be such fun! I don't think I told you how cool this vase is. I would have snapped it up also. That's so neat that it is majolica too.
I certainly don't thing you were being too braggy lady (no, not me!)...that's what I was doing today. LOL! Besides braggin on your children is totally acceptable. Always! :)))
It's beautiful, Kim, who cares if there's a crack at the bottom. No one would ever notice that. It certainly is nice to have a place to keep umbrellas handy, around here lately!
Almost all my things are flawed, but still pretty and I like it that way, because I don't have to worry about something happening to them, I just enjoy them. Of course, if they were valuable, I'd feel like I should sell them, but I get to keep the imperfect treasures!
You have great taste, and good design sense!
wow, they did do a poor repair job. Cracks are what sharpie markers are for, right? They come in brown too.
Thx for visiting and leaving such a sweet comment. You never know what life has to throw at you. Although exhausting, a baby at 41 is a blessing. You have a beautiful family.
Don't you love those moments when you find something like this? It's a beauty!

Love it! Imperfections and all!
What a great find! and you must have incredible eye sight to have spot it from the road in a moving vehicle. haha
