What's on My Wall & Prayin' for Barb!

There is usually a What's On Your Wall Wednesday Blog Party each week, hosted by Barb (love that girl!) over at Grits and Glamour. However, this week Barb has alot on her plate (send some prayers up ladies!) so here is my own little informal WOYWW post. Now this is one of my favorite parties to participate in because I have SO many things on my walls that I'm sure I'll never run out of things to post. When it comes to decorating there are two things I'm not fond of - white walls and bare walls! Splash on some color and throw on some art! Anything goes - mirrors, prints, family photos, sconces, shelves - the sky's the limit!!!

This chalkboard in my kitchen had a white frame when I received it as a gift, but when we remodeled the kitchen last year, I painted it black.

I got these prints at one of my favorite shops at Peddler's Village in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The shop is called Truffles and I was drawn to the blue and gold design in the matting of these prints.

I bought this mirror on Ebay for my foyer and had to replace the glass. Then I decided I didn't like the whole frame gold, so I painted it black and just kept gold around the edges. I just added the wreath because I thought it looked "Springy"!

Although these last pix are not on my walls, they are "landscapes". Actually a view from my kitchen of the blizzard yesterday.

I have to tell you that seeing that white stuff in your yard makes me feel a little better. Love your art. I think I have those same botanicals, with different mats. You are welcome to participate in I Wonder Wed. any time. Just let me know the night before, and I'll link to you. Now, I need to go and see your Met Monday post. I never made it through them all b/c school has been out for 2 days, so I've had to share the computer. :O) Have a good week!

Hey Kim! I lost you there! I think you're right about the bad guy! Cause I thought I was already following your blog and come to find out I wasn't, that's fixed! and I meant to pass on the "Let's be friends" award and I typed everybody in and then went ahead and published it...when you left your comments I realized your name wasn't on there! I went back and checked and I must've skipped over the page I wrote your address on so I didn't type it in!!!! Something powerful must be going to happen with us girlfriend cause "you know who" has worked hard today keeping us apart!!! God Bless you! Lauralu :)

How sweet of you to ask for prayers for Barb...you betcha, I'll do it! I think the things on our walls tell a story of who we are or something about the way we think... I love the way yours are decorated! ;-) Bo

Oh hi Kim...I'm back to tell you I don't make fried green tomatoes...LOL...My grandmother did & hers were divine. Here in Texas, Wal-Mart sells them in the frozen veggie section...I tried them once...not nearly as good as my grandmother's...;-) Bo
