Perky in Perkasie!

It's not unusual for me to travel a good distance for something I'm after on Craig's List.  I once drove almost 2 hours to pick up a sweet slipper chair for my bedroom that still holds a place in my heart.  I love road trips and usually try to make an adventure out of them.

This last trip was for a coffee table in the Family Room.  I'd been looking for one that was oval as I can't risk having the baby hurting himself on any sharp edges.  The perfect one showed up on Craig in a town called Perkasie, Pennsylvania.  I texted hubby at work asking him how far it was and he said about an hour and twenty minutes.  Perfect!

And as luck would have it, the seller told me that their town was having it's Spring Fest that day and there would be lots for our family to do.  It was a win-win!

So we packed up the diaper bag and headed over the bridge into PA for a day of fun and shopping!

Turns out Perkasie is one of the sweetest little towns - straight out of the Saturday Evening Post magazine!

Just look at some of these sweet buildings.

So quaint and picturesque!

Everywhere we went the people were so warm and hospitable.

Amy had fun shopping for handmade hair accessories.

I spotted an Antique store and made quick work of finding some goodies that were coming home with me!

I found the perfect mirror for my foyer.  It's from 1880 but the frame is in excellent condition.

And see that big wicker jug?  Guess what?  It was on sale for $5!  I kid you not!  I didn't let it out of my sight.

I've since switched the vignette on this hall table to include my blue and whites.

I think a little burlap wreath would look perfect on that mirror.  Don't you think?

And I also brought home this huge bread board for $12.  Any idea where I can find a narrow basket to fit these guys?  I'm on the hunt.

All in all it was a perfect day.  Our family came home with some great memories and a new coffee table!

There's still time to enter my giveaway.  Just click on the link in my sidebar!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulicious day!
xoxo,
Kim
