Thrifty Finds

Nothing screams "Yardsale Season" like me with no make-up on and a fanny-pack filled with ones and loose change strapped to my most glamorous pair of sweats.  It truly is a sight to behold.

With my extra-large Dn'D coffee in hand and an adrenaline rush that would make Iggy Pop on American Idol seem calm, I'm off and running at 0'dark-thirty in the morning.

My BFF and yardsale companion, Denise is always by my side with her list in hand and GPS hooked up as I speed drive from house to house looking for deals.

We got off to a slow start but things quickly picked up when I spotted Lola.  Her owner wanted $15, I got her for $12.
She's my new best friend. Sorry Denise but you just don't have that kind of suction.

I love this sweet wall clock.

For only five bucks I took the chance that it would tick AND tock.  Lucky for me it does.

Here it is in the hallway.

Not that big, but perfect for that wall.

These next pretties are available on my Etsy.  I got them last weekend at the flea market.

You can read all of my yard-sale advice on my toolbar at the top of my blog.  Just click on Tips.
Until next time!

Great clock, Kim! I'm not a garage/yard saler, but sometimes if I see one that has a lot of stuff I will stop. Since I do have a couple of things in mind I'd like to get {mainly furniture pieces} maybe I should pay more attention to these things!

Laughing at your post. Poor Denise. But I hope you and Lola have many good times! Cute clock too, definitely worth the risk.

That clock is wonderful! My you are giddy over a vacuum! I would only be that giddy over a vacuum if it worked itself! I keep telling Tom I want the Roomba!

I want a picture of the first paragraph, please! That would be classic! Especially with the fanny pack!

I'm sure you look adorable even in your sweats & no makeup. The vision of you and your friend running around looking for treasures in the dark, reminded me of the last time we had a garage sale. It was a neighborhood sale & was scheduled to start at 6am. Of course, people started showing up at 5 & we weren't even completely set up. It was so dark, you couldn't even see the prices on things. Then a couple of people showed up wearing those head lamp/lights (don't know what they're called) & I just burst out laughing. I continued to laugh about that all day. Now I have a clear visual of you and your friend wearing those crazy headlights & skulking around garage sales in the wee dark hours of the morning. However, I am very glad you do since I just found out that I'm the recipient of your Give-Away over At The Picket Fence. I'm so thrilled!
