Generosity of Blog Friends

Since I began blogging almost 2 years ago I've met some of the most generous and thoughtful women from all over the world who continue to touch my heart each and every day.  I've received awards, gifts, notes/cards in the mail and even phone calls from afar.  I believe that God brought me to this place to connect with these wonderful women who lift me up when I seem to need it the most.

Yesterday was one of those days.  I was having a pity party for myself.  I'm at the tail end of a long and difficult pregnancy and I have not been a happy camper.  In all honesty, I'm completely miserable.  I can't stand it anymore and I want it to be over.

So when I came home from my ultrasound (the 9th of this pregnancy!) I was overwhelmed to have received a package from a very dear blog friend.

Kim from Kimberly's Korner sent me a gift for my baby and it touched my heart and lifted me up at just the right moment.

A sweet sleeper

And an adorable keepsake photo frame that will soon hold a picture of my own sweet baby boy.

I cried as I thought about the fact that we have never even met in person, but I feel such a connection to Kim, as with so many of you that I have come to know and love.

Thank you Kim!

On a side note, at yesterday's ultrasound, the tech told us that Cole is 8 lbs. 3 oz.
In the very beginning of this incredible journey, we were told that we'd be lucky if he was a normal weight.  Because of the Ablation I had last year, getting nutrients to him in the womb would be very difficult.  This little guy continues to baffle doctors and defy the odds.  I am only 36 weeks.

We are hoping to have a C-section next week, but my OB cautioned me not to get my hopes up.  They will need to perform an Amniocentesis on Wed. to see if Cole's lungs are mature enough.  After yesterday's news, I can't imagine that he won't be ready.  Please continue to keep us in prayer.   I thank you all for your well-wishes and continued thoughts and prayers.

xoxo,
Kim

I am so excited for you! You have really made me think of my own situation in a whole new light. This little boy is such a blessing! I know it has been a tough time for you and you have every right to have a pity party. You have had to really change everything you have been doing and that is hard for a go getter person like yourself. Not much longer, my friend! Sending prayers your way and can't wait to see that sweet boy!

How sweet! I know what it's like to go through a long and difficult pregnancy. My little prince who was given a 50-50 chance of surviving in the womb, weighed in at 8 lbs 15 oz. 1 oz shy of 9 lbs! And I'm not a big person. I was exactly like you. Sooo miserable and ready! Prayers being sent your way for a healthy birth and a speedy recovery!

You are absolutely in my thoughts and prayers. I have met some outstanding ladies here in blogland, some that I have felt an instant connection with. You, dear one, are definitely among the most endearing.

As for the barstools, I cast my vote for the last one. I like the shape, the leather seat, & it looks like it swivels. Good luck on that project.
