Ta-Dah!!!

For those of you who read my post yesterday, this is the piece I was referring to - a HUGE china cabinet - not one scratch, knick, chip, blemish or imperfection...........$100!!!!! Can you believe it?? I really was almost hyperventillating when I saw the price. Talk about not showing your cards - girls, I would make a terrible poker player. I practically laid myself across the floor in front of it terrified that someone else would snatch it away from me! I guarded it with my life. Even after the sweet-as-could-be saleslady put the "sold" sign on it, I was still afraid to leave it! I wasn't completely satisfied until it made it safely in its new home in my living room. Where, if fits perfectly! Thank goodness, because it took alot of convincing to get hubby to understand that I just "HAD TO HAVE" this piece of furniture. Don't forget, it's HUGE, and we basically had no place to put it. After some sweet-talking, I got hubby to move the computer desk to a new spot to make room and he actually liked it better this way. And certainly after he saw my one true bargain, he was even happier. I could barely sleep last nite, all of these visions of how I'm going to fill this were swirling around in my head. I think I'm going to decorate it for spring and put all of my bunnies in it. Oh, and did I mention that the light works too?? Isn't that unbelievable. I didn't' even care if the light didn't work, but it did!

I even kept the "sold" sign on for my picture and added a close-up of the $99 goodwill sticker (there were a few of those on there, that's all the white spots you see). I just had to show that!

It is engraved "Stanley Furniture" on the inside pull-out drawar. The color is kind of hard to describe and the picture doesn't do it any justice. It's sort of a sage green with specks of black (my darn camera stinks!) - even the inside of the drawars that you can't even see unless your inside of them are painted.

The detailing on the facing glass doors are what really caught my attention. On both the the right and left doors there is a criss-cross pattern of guilded wood that just makes it so unique. There are two glass shelves for storing my goodies and lots of storage underneath too.
Now you know what it's just screaming for?? One of Nancy's adorable tassles (yes, I will be ordering another one Nancy girl!). They are available at her Etsy store and are just gorgeous. For any of you who don't know Nancy (and how could you not???) her blog is definitely worth visiting - just click on my blog list - she is Southern Lady (Home is the Hearts Nesting Place).
Speaking of talented, wonderful bloggers, just look at the frame I received in the mail this week. Another beauty, this one comes from Kristen over at Kristen's Creations. Her Etsy store is also full of wonderful goodies!!! Doesn't this look great on my hutch?? Thanks Kristen!!!!

I apologize for going on and on about my hutch, I just couldn't wait to share this with all of you, my new friends, who mean so much to me!
Have an amazing day!

Girlfriend you did good!!! I couldn't tell that it was sage green until you said something! Then I looked again and oh so pretty! And you're filling it with bunnies! I love bunnies! I'm going to check out Nancy's tassels. Don't know if you saw my blog before I changed and put some home pics on it but I had pics of some tassels I had made. One was a bird, the other a rooster and of course a bunny! They're all gone! So I need to make some more....one for me atleast! Hope you're going to post when you get your hutch all fixed up! Love and God Bless! Lauralu :)

Oh, oh, oh, what a fabulous find. I'm so jealous, even though I have NO place to put something that big. Way cool.

Oh I'm so happy for you!! Great score!! I know that feeling of panic that someone else might cheat you somehow out of your beloved item! I once sat in a chair at the Goodwill until the clerk came over...and sure enough someone else wanted to buy MY chair!! I said "no way jose!" I'm not getting out of it! And they gave up! That chair is now sitting in my family room hehe! And may I just say Ms Laura lu makes the cutest tassels you've ever seen! *winks* Vanna

Oh Kim...you found the bargain of the decade if not of the century! I would have grabbed that myself even if I had to throw out the refrigerator or something else to make room for it! LOL...It will be so much fun to decorate & it looks like you found the perfect place for it. Bravo! ;-) Bo

Hey girl! You are just too sweet! I like you girlfriend!! I see Vanna was touting my tassels! I just took them off my blog during the week because I gave one to my best friend cause she fell in love with it and it matched her kitchen perfectly, I gave the bunny to my coworker who loves pink and green and a lady bought my rooster tassel! I need to make more. Got the stuff just not the time! My DH would be so happy for me to put up all my craft stuff! It's a mess! You can barely walk in my dining room! Love Ya! Lauralu :)

Okay, I'll try this again! You are a real sweetie! I really like you girlfriend! I see Vanna's been touting my tassels! She's a sweetie too! Coming from her I definitely take that as a compliment! I just took the pics off my blog because I made three and they're gone! My best friend wanted the bird for her kitchen, a coworker wanted the bunny for her daughter's room and a member of Curves bought the rooster for her kitchen! I've got the stuff to make more but my DH might keel over if I bring more craft stuff out right now! You can't even walk in my dining room...I've been making cards and the stuff is everywhere! Love Ya! Lauralu
