The Artichoke - Not just a delicacy, but an accessory too!!!

Found this cute little artichoke accent table at a thrift store my dear friend Stacy told me about and I just had to have it. Of course I had no idea where to put it (after all, where DO you put an artichoke table??), but it looked nice in this corner of my dining room.

The top is a black/white marble, pretty cool huh??
So then I needed to accessorize. So I used, what else?? More artichokes. I liked the colors in these and they go well in the room.

So I gotta ask, has anyone else out there ever decorated with artichokes?? I mean, it's not like it's fleur-de-lis, topiaries or transferware dishes - all sensible choices. I'm talkin' artichokes. Just wondering so my husband doesn't think I'm a total nut. Remember girls, I told him I "HAD" to have it!

Have a great day!!!

That is a neat table! I like artichoke stuff too. I have some fake ones and some candleholders in my closet and just have never put them out. I'll have to pull them out and find a place for them!

Cool table! I'll admit, I've never decorated with artichokes before, but then, I've never found a table that awesome before either!

I have artichokes in a pretty box in my bathroom. They are mixed in with potpourri. I think they are gorgeous. Have you seen the painted artichoke platters in the Etsy shop at Kari and Kijsa's? They are to die for!

Your artichoke table is beautiful and using a bowl full of artichokes as a centerpiece totally makes sense.

That is a great accent piece! I have one little artichoke "faux finial" that I got a few weeks back, I think they are cute and make very interesting decor items. Look great with the ivy trailing down too!

Very pretty Kim! I love it.

I have a pineapple accent piece and now you have me wondering if it's really an artichoke after all.

I like it either way!

Hi Kim,
Tell DH, you are not alone...I have seen other artichokes around Blogland. :-) I'm pretty sure Lynne, at Lynne's Gifts from the Heart has used them in her rooms. Love your new table...it is so pretty, I think you could use it almost anywhere...even beside a chair would be great! :-)
