DIY Sink Skirt

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.  Things are back to normal at the barn, and would you believe we have seen more customers come through since the shooting than before??  I thought for sure it would hurt business!

Its cold and rainy outside with a Winter storm brewing, bringing snow tonite.  But inside I'm dreaming of Spring and anxious to see warmer weather.

In the kitchen I've been bringing more of my new favorite color - Turquoise.  I just can't seem to get enough of it these days.  I recently ordered this cute Eat sign from Etsy and love how it looks over my sink.

Speaking of sink, you may be able to spy with your little eye my new sink skirt.

I made it myself!  Well, not really.  It's actually a vintage half apron that I thumbtacked to the frame.

The best part about using an apron as a sink skirt is you get to store stuff in it - and who doesn't love extra storage?

I got this tool box at the flea last weekend and I love it on my counter storing "stuff".

Got these cute little alphabet letters at Pottery Barn Kids for Cole to play with, but I think I'm having more fun playing with them that he is.

What color are you obsessed with these days??

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulicious day!
xoxo,
Kim

Great minds are thinking alike, Kim; I've been obsessing with turquoise, too! I've been adding just little bits here and there and plan to do a post about my little "obsession" very soon. Great idea for the sink skirt -- you are so clever!

Stay warm! I'll send you "warm sunshine thoughts!"

Just stopping by to say thanks for visiting my blog! Your corner sink brings back memories! The first house we built had a sink in the corner just like that! I loved it!
And the sink skirt is sure cute too!

Cute as ever. I was just searching my vintage apron stash today looking for enough to make a curtain from. Great idea and I love the color choice.

I love your cute skirt and thought about doing this exact thing under our sink, too! Thanks for the inspiration! And, so glad that your booth/shop hasn't suffered business since the shooting ... that is just scary and sad!! Thank God you weren't there!

TURQUOISE is def. my favorite color. I love those turquoise jars you have above the refrigerator.

I think we might be long lost thrifting soul sisters :)
