Keeping Busy.

Like I said before, being home on bedrest has it's advantages.  It also has some disadvantages.  Like looking at the same walls all day and wanting to change everything around me.

Since I can't afford new furniture or even a lamp at the moment, what with Christmas right around the corner, I chose to just move things around a little bit.  But don't worry, I didn't lift a finger.  That's what my kiddoes are for!

Before, the Living Room looked like this.

I moved the chair and placed the ottoman at the foot of the secretary.

I also removed most of the pillows from the sofa, just keeping the ones with a pop of color.  I'll be adding another one I ordered from Pottery Barn.

You may remember this leather sofa was a Craig's List find for only $125.  It's too pretty to hide with so many pillows, dontcha think?

This pillow got moved to the accent chair - a thrift store find for $35.

I'm linking this post to the lovely Vanessa's party, Inspiration Friday over at Southern in My Heart.  Vanessa is hands-down one of the sweetest, most sincere bloggers I've had the pleasure of meeting, so go pay her a visit!

Have a great day!
xoxo,
Kim

Sometimes all we need to do is move things around a little to appreciate what we already have.

I am new to you blog, so I don't know why you are ill, but I hope you get better soon!

I think your living furniture is lovely. And down the road when you are able to really move things you could even try swapping the shelves out with the secretary, open up the secretary and stage it as a writing desk with that lovely accent chair in front of it. Just a suggestion. I have always wanted a secreatry so I could do that. But DON'T go moving anything! Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself! ~Ames

Kim, that is an unbelievably gorgeous sofa! I don't think I had met you yet when you found it but what a deal!! And, I agree, that the pillows were covering up too much of its loveliness and your changes are just wonderful. Great job!
