Home Goods Goodness

I went to Home Goods this morning looking for a new lamp for my dresser in my bedroom.  They usually have a great selection at great prices.  I was surprised with the selection and high prices this time around.

So I didn't leave with a lamp, but I did bring home this cute rooster tray for $15.

And perched him on top of my fridge.

The dark stain of the wood goes nicely with my floors and granite.

Just gotta find a new home for this painting now.

We are enjoying some crisp Fall-like weather here in South Jersey.  Perfect for making chilli or homemade soup.  I have a great recipe I'll share with you next week for chunky potato soup.  Here's a preview....

Straight from the chalkboard I made in the kitchen.

What are your plans for the weekend?

xoxo,
Kim

I love me some Home Goods!!!! Great tray! We are off to visit family in Tennessee this weekend. My in-laws volunteer at a fossil site so we are going to see where they found a wooly mammoth as they were trying to build a new highway. The leaves hopefully are changing there and we will get to see some spectacular colors, but I am afraid we are a week or two to early. We will see! Hope you have a great one!

I always looks for lamps at thrift and antique stores they are just sooo expensive in the dept. stores. Sorry you were not able to find what you wanted at a price you wanted. Hang in there it will surface. As for your tray, it's really cute. We do not have a Home Goods. The nearest one to me is in Charleston over 2 hours away! But I sure do love it when I'm down that way!

I was thrilled to be able to visit Home Goods last week..... It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the cottage.... I didn't find a darn thing.... I left a very disappointed chickie.

Love your tray though!

Warm blessings,
Spencer

PS... Your kitchen is soooo homey and pretty.

Perfect addition to your already beautiful kitchen !! I was just in there and didn't see that tray (just might've nabbed it if I had). Have a great day, *Becca*

Your new rooster is quite handsome and he looks great perched on top of your refrigerator.

I love your new chalkboard. I'm probably the only blogger around who hasn't made something with chalkboard paint.

That picture is a nice size for your counter or baker's rack, Kim. I was in Home Goods myself the other evening {great time to go is the dinner hour}. I had to get accessories for a client job and I was having a hard time finding things. It didn't help that there were at least 4 aisles dedicated to Christmas! I did find some things, but not as much as I'd hoped. I don't think you can leave Home Goods without something in your hand!
