Heart of The Home Party Time!

So excited to be joining Shelia's Heart of the Home party today!  I've been looking forward to this opportunity for us to show off our kitchens - often the hub for our families.  My humble little kitchen is no exception!

Come on in and I'll show you around.

Many of my vignettes have changed over the year, so I'll throw in some different looks and see if you can spot them.

The no-sew window treatments I made myself.

Also reupholstered these chairs in a coordinating fabric.

I thought this picture would make a great end to my tour.  Note the quote at the top of my hutch!  Very appropriate!

Thanks Shelia for hosting this fun party.  Now go check out Note Songs to see more kitchen inspiration!
xoxo,
Kim

What a beautiful kitchen...I've seen photos in the past but not as many as this post, bringing the room together. Love it. I have that same long kitchen-eating-family room with a slider and it's fun to see how you've decorated that kind of space. You have such a great, natural eye for color and you know how I love all your touches of red. I could move into your kitchen and be happy happy happy!

Miki is having a red party on Friday if you want to link this post - info on my sidebar.

I completely forgot about Sheila's party (she's such a wonderful blogger) and don't have a post ready :( Next time...next time. I've got two vacations coming up, Bible study at my home every Tuesday, and hosting a baby shower all before Thanksgiving so I've been a bit scattered lately.

Hugs to you, Marla

Oh Kim, I love your backsplash!! We have yet to add that to our kitchen remodel... thanks for the inspiration! AND I love your white appliances. My kitchen guy thought I was crazy to not consider stainless steel, but I don't like the look... too sterile and modern.
Now I gotta check out your other posts :)

I can't believe you actually have "heart of the home" on your wall! You should have been the first person to this party--your entry is definitely just right!

Your kitchen is lovely. It does indeed look like a heart of the home space--except that it is SO CLEAN. You must be much better at cleaning than I am. Everything looks beautiful!

I love the 'heart of the home', Kim. White appliances I love, so versatile & accents a room so beautifully. Your punches of color just pop, the pottery is gorgeous, your counter tops I love ... beautiful!

Have a great day ~

Hi Kim, nice to meet you!
Your kitchen is adorable. I once had curtains in a room like the pattern on your kitchen chairs.
You have a lovely home.
What a great deal you got on those chargers.
Feel free to follow me. I'm honored that you said you would like to. I just didn't do the widget thing. Maybe I should??

We have some similar features in our kitchens, but I sure would love to have that quote and a place for that hutch!

Hi so nice to meet you. Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such sweet comments.

I love your kitchen. I love how the dark hardwood floors contrast with the white painted cabinets, and I love the soft green color on the wall. Beautiful.

Everything looks just right. I noticed in the shot from your kitchen through the dining room and to the living room that the rest of your decorating is beautiful too. You are a talented lady.
