The following excuse for a post is almost certain to bore you into a coma. To offset that, I'm gonna sprinkle in some random eye candy to keep your attention. Because I need your help.
"I believe as you go through life - if you are REALLY paying attention to your journey - you learn as you go, perfecting yourself as a human to grow and become wiser with each experience be it good or bad. As this happens, your spiritual vibration is raised to a higher plateau therefore drawing more and more high quality people to your inner circle, that is, if you are moving in the right direction. Higher quality people are very hard to find so your circle may get smaller as your vibration gets higher, but quality always takes place over quantity." - Stacy Polidoro (I told you I'd give you props!)
WHAT?? How could she do this to me when I am the throes of a full-blown creative slump! The nerve of some people. Being all profound and eloquent while I face the Hoover Dam of mental blockage.
I'm going to go take a shower now to try to clear out the cobwebs. That and I really smell from my spin class this morning. I will be back in a few. But before I go, here are some of my fave inspiration pictures.
So back to my problem. Before the well in my subconscious dried up I did a post on the subject of "Forcing". I talked about not forcing pieces that just don't work in your space. I'm gonna take a page out of my own book and apply that same concept to my creativity or lack thereof. I've either got it, or I don't. And right now, I don't.
Do you sing in the shower? I don't, but my man does. Nothing in particular, just songs he makes up in his head mostly. It's kinda cute. When our girls were first born he wrote a song for each one and would sing it to them every night at bedtime. How.Sweet.Is.That?
Do you ever put something in a "special" place, so you won't "lose" it? Then when you "need" it you can't "find" it?!!! Like last week when I was looking for this cute tray I bought at Marshalls. Last time I saw it was Christmas. Since I couldn't find it, I just assumed it was packed away with the other decorations. Then yesterday I set the oven to Self Clean (if only my kids came with that setting) and remembered that I had to take all the stuff out of that drawer. There was my tray. Huh? What? In my brain's defense, I'm sure it seemed brilliant at the time.

So thanks for sticking with me in this rollercoaster of randomness. I hope you enjoyed your ride.

Hi Kim.
I know all about the blogger's block. Sometimes a little personal space is good for a relationship. ;)
I do have to tell you, though that this line made me LOL!!!
"Last month the creative juices were flowing like beer at an Irish funeral." I'm going to borrow that. K?! I don't know how but somehow I must use it.
Happy weekend, girlie.
XO*T
P.S. I mean personal space from you and your blog, just for a little perspective. Not personal space between you and me. ;)
For some reason your pics aren't loading for me? I'll check back later:)
When I'm that way I don't do anything. I just go on and hope something pops in the brain later.
The harder you think the less comes to mind.
I couldn't see the pictures on my end.
Have a good one.
Melinda
I too, am having blogger's block and if I have to take one more picture of an inanimate object and talk about it, I will lose my mind!! And your pictures, by the way, did not come out. Sorry!
xoxo

Do you think it is the weather? We came off that crazy winter...a teaser of nice days...and cold again?
I say grab a good book or magazine and fill up the tub, light some candles, add a glass of wine, close your eyes and dream!
Or a good shopping trip...maybe lunch,too...maybe in Lancaster!!
Have a great weekend :)
Wendy
I am totally with your right now, Kim. I have been busy around the house and in life but nothing worth blogging about. I think I'm in a holding pattern for yardwork! :)
Hey Kim,
I don't think your slump will last. Once the weather really gets nice, you'll get revved up to go thrifting, decorating and you'll be wowing us with some creative ideas! Oh, I can't see the pics either, but knowing you they are great inspiration photos. Have a good weekend!

Hi Kim, I feel like I started off fast and furious in this blogging world...now what I do is write down everything that comes to me. I have like five posts in my archives....some are fun, some are boring IMO, but regardless I write them down. You have been blogging a lot longer than I have, so I will remember when this happens to me....that it is OK, take a break, and it will all come back to you again, you can't force it:) Have a great weekend:) Debbie and hey I am half Irish....come to think of it beer was flowing at some point LOL!
Totally understandable! I love your randomness as much as I love your well-thought-out posts. :) They are more personal some how, ya know?
Well you still shared some inspiring photos so I'm happy I came to visit!
Have a good weekend,
Carolyn
I know what you mean Kim, but I really enjoyed your post and its honesty. I didn't have any problems with viewing your pics?
Sometimes you just need take a little break from thinking about what to blog about. If that makes any sense. Just go have fun, not that blogging isn't fun :) most of the time.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I love random! :)Still a cute post, And thanks for sharing the beautiful inspiration pics - I didn't have any problems viewing them. I've had the same problem lately - nothing good comes to my mind, I think I'm just too tired to be creative :) But, Spring's comin'...
Before I say anything else...was the tray salvageable???? LOL
Ok, now, Spin Class??? Really???? You got up and did it? I bow before you...I'm not worthy! Loved the eye candy too. We all get the blogger's block from time to time, but I applaud you for gettin' in there and just chattin' with us all anyway!

I can totally relate to what you are going through. Just the other day I was reading other's blogs and thinking how in the world are they so creative, while I can't even decide what we are having for supper! :)
I actually loved your post...very heartfelt! Blessings!!
Hi Kim:) For what it is worth, it happens to me all the time too. But doesn;t last long. loved your inspiration pics and your post title made me alugh out loud, so all in all your post worked for me:) I loved it! Wishing you a wonderful weekend ~ Tina xx
Think simple when you cant come up with something...Or find a photo...and let it follow...Or you could link to other blogger's who inspire you...Have an awesome weekend sweetie...I am working on Olive Oyl, my slipcover ;)Meme
Ok, first let me say that I am not much of a writer, my creativity lies in photography, sewing and paint. But a few years ago, several artist friends of mine wanted to do a course called The Artist's Way, by Julia Cameron. It is the deal for anyone who is stumped creatively, it gives you tools for life....smiles.

I'm sure every blogger could relate to this post about writer's block. I was simply impressed that you had already gone to a spinning class. I've been reading a few posts, and yes I believe in signs, although I doubt I would find one that fits my blog name. And I just want to say I am always talking about where my mojo went. I too have daughters, 14, 10 and 7. I will be visiting often.
Thanks for blogging,
Dana
