More Christmas Love

Call it insecurity, call it insanity, call it what you will, but after seeing all of the beautiful decorations in blogland I decided to sprinkle a little more Christmas love around my home. And I did it without spending a dime. Just went shopping in my storage closet and here's what I came up with.

I do this every year. I do a little bit of decorating. Then I go on the local House Tour, come home, and do a little bit more.

I think I'm done for now.

At least inside. There's always more I could do outside!

Oh and before I go I just wanted to get your opinion on the wallscape I just created in my living room. It's not Christmasy, but I thought I'd throw it in for good measure.

I don't think it translates very well in this photo - looks better in person. Gimme your thoughts.
Thanks!

Hey Kim!

I like your Christmas decorations. I do the same thing! See something in a magazine or on a home tour and then come home and do more decorating. I like the wreaths on all the windows. Very neat.

As for the wall, I think it looks good. It feels balanced and pleasing to the eye. I go with my initial feeling when I see a display or grouping and this one feels "right".

Have a great day!

I love the additions to your decorating. I feel the way you do about home tours with seeing blogger's decorations. I love how you filled a simple bowl with greenery. I forget to use my everyday things.

Anyway. your house looks lovely inside and out. Love the wreaths on all the windows...so classic. And the sled and skates are too.

The wallscape looks really nice. All the gold ties everything in and it all goes well with your formal couch. Great job!

Happy holidays!! :-)

Thanks so much for coming by my blog today.....and I confess that we only got a tree yesterday. It stands in the living room waiting for me to feel up to decorating it, I guess. I love all your Christmas decorations......and I do mine a little bit at a time, too. I've decided I won't get the banister garland up this year, I guess. Now I'll have to figure out where to hang the stockings!!!
Take care and have a Merry Christmas!

Oh Kim-
Your home looks like a Christmas magazine.
I love the topiaries. Did you make those yourself?

Have you been out and about 'finding' treasures lately?

Everything looks so pretty at your home -- I usually keep tweeking too -- but this year I told myself that whatever didn't get done by the first of December - didn't get done! I did very little outside and I still left boxes untouched in the attic... I guess they'll get used next year.

The candle centerpiece with the berries is sooooo pretty! And I love the sled with the ice skates...great minds think alike. :-) I really like your wall scape...everything is so well balanced, yet not matchy, matchy. I think it's perfect! Kim,
I thought the same thing a few posts back when you were headed to the Jersey shore! I need to get out a map, but my sister in law lives in Mullica Hill & we have family in Cherry Hill. Most of Tony's family is from Center City Philly. We live beside the sweetest place on earth, Hershey! I will look at a map and see how close we are! Wouldn't that be fun to get together!
