A New "Treasure"

I spent my Birthday doing what I love - thrifting with my BFF!  Denise took me to Columbus Flea Market for the day and it was fun, fun, fun!!!  Truly the best Birthday ever.  I came home with lots of new treasures and wonderful memories.  Thanks Denise!

I can't wait to show you what I got.  But right now, I want to share something else.  Back in February, God introduced me to an amazing woman who would soon become a wonderful friend.  I was feeling frustrated and sorry for myself.  Here I am in my 40's with a teenager, a tweener with special needs, and a baby, trying to manage a business and run a household with zero energy.  Mallory was on a youth retreat and I was filling in for her in the nursery, watching the babies while their parents attended worship.

In walks this beautiful family - a handsome dad and striking mom with their teenage daughter, a middle child with special needs and a baby.  We got to talking and sure enough - Christina is in her 40's, has a blog, a new business and a strong faith in God.  I have been going to this church for years and had never even seen this family before and vice versa. Don't ever think for one second that God is not in charge.

Christina has been a source of strength for me.  I turn to her when I'm feeling down and need a lift.  She understands, because she is right there with me.  I'm blessed to know her and I'm sure our friendship will only continue to blossom.

So thank you sweet friend.  Your friendship means the world to me.  And thank you for spoiling me!  Just look at what she made me.

This sweet banner for the craft room.

Hard to tell from the pic, but the words imagine, grow and learn are embroidered at the top!

Another sweet banner for my mantle.

And this letter was a special present for my Birthday.  Christina ordered it from Etsy, knowing I would just love it.  Yes! Love it!!

Thank you Christina.  And thank you my Jesus for leading me to her.

Christina is the owner of Emily Anne's Kloset, named for her precious daughter with C-17, a rare congenital disorder.  Please visit her store and see more of her delightful creations.

Thanks for visiting and have a fabulicious weekend!
xoxo,
Kim
