Tartan Parade

It's time to get your plaid on peeps and join the Tartan Parade over at The Polohouse, one of my all-time favorite blogs and home of Alison, equestrian decorator extrarodinaire!  If you haven't visited Alison's home, be prepared for some serious eye candy.  I've pinned nearly every room!

Tartan is a staple in any traditional home, and I've managed to squeeze it into my decor.  I love how this red throw looks draped across the weathered leather of my living room sofa.

The only thing missing here is a crackling fire!

I won this picnic blanket on Ebay last year.

It will come out again next Fall.

Another picnic blanket drapes the sofa in my Family Room.

It was brand new and still in the plastic at a thrift store for only $2.

Not exactly tartan, but it's good enough for the parade.

Thanks to Alison and the other ladies who are hosting this fun party.

Have a fabulicious week!
xoxo,
Kim

Kim, thanks for joining in the fun of the parade. The picnic blankets are both great finds. I'm still searching for one of these when out at thrift stores. ;-)
Happy Tartan Day to you. ~ Sarah

You're kidding!!! You got that great tartan blanket for just $2?!?!? And brand new, to boot?!?!! Great score!!! The vignette in your living room does have a very classic look to it. A roaring fire and a snifter of brandy...you'll be all set for winter!

Hi Kim!

You are much too kind and thank you so much for the extra sweet intro!

Love your plaid throws. Your leather sofa is gorgeous. Love the lines and the details on the frame. It is perfect with the plaid throw and floral pillow! Did you make the arrangement on the coffee table? That is lovely too!

Thanks so much for sharing the plaids in your beautiful home at the Tartan Parade today.

So thrilled you could join us!

You really got a nice deal on the throw. I think I still have a couple of tartan bears with the Christmas things, but was to lazy to go look for them. :D
