Oh yes, I did.....
After much consideration I've decided to replace the hardwood floors in my kitchen (insert gasp here) with porcelain tile. You're probably thinking I'm crazy, and you'd be right. But not because I'm tearing out perfectly good floors that are a mere two years young. That decision came at a relatively sane moment, and if you're like me, those moments are few and far between.
Are gleaming hardwood floors beautiful? Yes. Are they in good shape? You betcha.
And in a house with no children, no pets and no husband, they'd be perfect in a kitchen. But not in my world. Not in this house. These days, I'm all about low maintenance. With a teenager, a fifth-grader, a new baby, a dog that sheds and a husband who refuses to take off his muddy shoes, sweeping and swiffering hardwood floors on a daily basis does not fit into my day. Of course begging convincing aforementioned husband that this was necessary was not easy. But as we all know, marriage is all about negotiating. We also know that men are pretty easy to negotiate with..... there's really only one thing they want ;)
So at the end of the day, it's a win/win. I get my porcelain floors, my man is happy (for a whole week) and the swiffer will take it's rightful place in the closet, never to be seen or heard from again.
The End.
Happy Valentine's Day to the love of my life, the man of my dreams, the answer to my prayers.
I love you with all of my heart.

Kim
Whew! Where has the time gone? It's been almost a whole month since I last posted. And much has happened since then as most of you know.
I'm enjoying my new little man so much - he has brought so much joy to this house already and it feels like he has always been here.
I was able to stay in the hospital for 5 days - nice break for me after a C-section. Cole was 3 weeks early and almost 8 lbs! Because of possible complications, I was under general anesthesia and not awake for the delivery. Also, Rich was not permitted in the room under these circumstances so he missed out too.... :(
So much love...
