Some of the pictures are still a bit blurry, but even blurry, the quality of the pictures is so much better than with my old Nikon. I think it all comes down to learning how to adjust the ISO, F-Stop and shutter speed.
I thought I'd share some pix of my Family Room, since it's the most colorful room in the house. Keep in mind I still have a lot to learn!
I just picked this lamp up at the flea over the weekend for $22. It was pretty ugly when I got it (I haven't been able to download the before pic from my old camera) with a really crappy shade. I kind of envisioned it turning out exactly the way it did. Don't you just love it when that happens?
Can you tell I'm ready for Spring? No winter mantle for this girl!
The toolbox came from an antique store on our recent trip to Cape May over Christmas. I painted it ASCP Antibes Green.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulicious day!

Everything looks great Kim. I really like the colors you are introducing. Did you get your ladder from Decor Steals? If it's the same one...I waited too long and they were gone. Darn. I want one.
You are going to have so much FUN with this camera! I haven't been on the You tube tutorial but Ken Rockwell's site is helpful also! Your family room looks fantastic! :)

Nice gift! You have been busy with very nice results. I need to dig out some Spring flowers around here.Freezing rain here, and ice forming on everything above the ground.
Happy Birthday to your husband!
Great gift and you picked the perfect room to use for learning all the cameras bells and whistles:)
Your pics look great. Good hubby.
you will love your new canon. I have been using mine for a couple of years and still have so much to learn but enjoy it every time I can shoot.
I love my Canon Rebel! That is what I have always used. I am ready to upgrade, but I love my Rebel!! You can also check out the blog Life with Three Boybarians at http://my3boybarians.com/31-days-to-a-better-photo/

I am sooooo ready for spring!!!
I love the bright colors in there, too, Kim! Congrats on your new camera ... your pics are so crisp and full of detail! Thanks for the tip about the photography, too ... my hubs bought me a Nikon 3100 for Xmas, and I'm in serious need of lessons! I love all of your vignettes and pops of red here and there! Beautiful, as always. And, Happy Birthday to your hubs!
Congrats on your new toy -- I mean camera! Whatever type camera any of us have, it seems there are endless possibilities of things to learn and use with each one. I think you did a great job on those pics of your family room. Your family room looks lovely, by-the-way!

Kim I have a Cannon Rebel too...got it for my birthday in 2011. I had no idea what to do with it so I signed up at the local community college for an Intro to Digital Photography class. Hands down the best money ever spent!
Love your blog and your family room. Following you now
Have a great day!!
