Larkspur Interiors

Spring has finally arrived here in South Jersey!  Today the temps are expected to be in the high 70's!!  WooHoo!!!

If you are new to my blog you may not know that I have a business with my BFF and business partner Denise called Larkspur Interiors.  We both live on Larkspur Circle, hence the name.  We do shows and have a booth at a local antique store, affectionately called "The Barn".    We have been adding some Springiness to our booth and I thought I'd share some pix with you!

Denise and her husband Tom made this beautiful French Country bench out of an old headboard and footboard.

We just redid the mantle and gave it more of a Colonial look with the addition of the shelf.

This display was put together using a CD storage ladder I got at a yardsale and re-purposed.

Can't you just see this bench on a front porch?  I love it.

We recently added a second space to our booth that we call "The Shabby Corner".  It's my favorite spot to decorate, and sometimes I just wanna move right in!

If you are ever in the area and looking for a great place for antiquing, you will love the Barn.  It's called Antiques Only (But Not Only Antiques), in Turnersville, NJ.  It's a huge place with lots of different booths all offering one-of-a-kind pieces old and new.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulicious day!
xoxo,
Kim

JERSEY STRONG!

Many thanks to all of you who checked in on us here in New Jersey.  Hurricane Sandy packed a wallop and we were miraculously spared, save for a few hours without power.  What is so miraculous? We are a mere 40 miles from the Jersey coast where the storm wreaked havoc on our beloved shore.  It is completely heartbreaking to say the least.  So many neighbors, family and friends have homes "down the shore" and what happened there in just two short days is mind boggling.

It's hard for me to sit still during normal circumstances, not to mention a Hurricane.  So I did what any crazy normal person would do - I "stormed the barn"!  Not by myself - it took me, Denise and her son Justin to do in 8 hours what we had planned all along to do in 2 full days!

Larkspur Interiors' booth at the Barn was due for an overhaul and since we reluctantly decided to give up Clover Market (for now) we are concentrating our efforts on our booth space, including adding  "Shabby Corner".

We worked until the wee hours of the morning, having a late night picnic on the floor of our space.  It's something I think none of us will ever soon forget.  But now it's done.  Weeks of preparation and hard work are now over and there's nothing left to do but enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Denise and I are looking forward to a more streamlined future, with less clutter in our garages, much to our hubbies' delites.  It's fun to think about just working on our booth without the added stress of doing a show.  It will allow both of us more time for our families, our homes and ourselves!

Thanks again for checking in and please continue to pray for those in our state who are still without power and homes.

xoxo,
Kim

A Look at our Nook!

Now that the Clover Market shows are behind us for the season, Denise and I have been hard at work revamping our space at the Barn.  It's always so much fun to redecorate our little corner and add new pretties each week.

Come on in!  Larkspur Interiors welcomes you.

Isn't this a great piece?  We've been looking for a great piece for display and this one was perfect.

It's actually an old Hoosier that we converted into a cabinet.  Someone else had already started refurbishing it with the pink and flowers.  We added the floral contact paper to the doors and shelves.

This week is our monthly Third Friday at the Barn with drinks, refreshments and added discounts.  If you are in the area, we would love to have you stop by!  Just click on my FB link for details.

Also, you still have time to enter my Summer giveaway.  Just click on the link on my sidebar to enter!  The winner will be announced tomorrow!

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulicious day!

Kim
